Performance Management Service

The various components of our Performance Management service are:

JODs® (Job Outcome Definitions)

  • Roles and responsibilities clarified
  • 1 page – simple, direct and practical
  • Outcome focussed – links with your overall business strategy
  • Objective performance management - expectations mutually agreed
  • Flexible to meet changing needs of a business
  • Easy to update and keep relevant

Focus your people on achieving the goals of your business. Unlike traditional position descriptions (which are often many pages long, rapidly outdated and rarely referred to) our Job Outcome Definitions (JODs®) are unique documents that define individual roles and responsibilities and focus on job outcomes rather than tasks. Measurable, mutually agreed targets are then aligned with company goals allowing management to monitor performance and achievement.

The result is individuals who understand their role and its importance within the business. This involvement boosts morale, teamwork, productivity and most importantly profit.

JODs® are central to all aspects of managing people and are therefore a core component of the RIT-AIR® program linking with the six areas of Recruitment, Induction, Training, Appraisals, Incentives and Retention.

“…we found the implementation of the JODs® in our business to be a significant turning point in achieving our company strategies and goals.”

Katrina Andrulis
Managing Director, Como Construction Company

Performance Appraisals

Want to have a more formalised way of discussing with staff how they are performing? Want to be able to appraise not just the work they did, but how they went about it (their attitude) in a non-threatening and productive way? Want to get rid of the cumbersome paperwork and complete your appraisal forms online, 24/7 anywhere?

Let us help!

We have been providing appraisal systems for organisations for many years. Our appraisal process is based on assessment of clearly measurable KPIs and the quality of an individual’s work. We also make sure the focus is on how someone has ‘lived’ the values of the business – ensure they are someone we want in front of clients, dealing with staff, representing our business.

We can also help by running training sessions on how to deliver effective feedback as well as the importance of performance appraisals and why line managers should embrace them. People Dynamics also offer an appraisal facilitation service in which we sit in on the appraisal meeting with you, as a neutral third party to facilitate, document and guide managers in how best to discuss performance with their staff.

“We are very pleased with the whole [performance management] process, and particularly like the objectivity it brings to our discussions, allowing us to talk more effectively about performance and values, and equally important, ensuring impartiality and transparency throughout the process.”

Managing Director, Liberty Medical

Retention

How do you keep your staff from leaving?! A key area at the moment and an area of speciality!

Let us help you focus on ways of retaining your staff, in particular your key staff. We look at the environment and the way you are structured (what about your generational mix in the business?) along with key areas of concern for employees. We do cultural assessments and staff surveys to gain an understanding – from an independent third party viewpoint – of how staff are feeling and what some of the issues are, and what would likely increase their chances of staying with the business long term.

As trained interpreters and registered resellers of the internationally recognised behavioural profiling tool the McQuaig System, we can also provide you with insights into your current staff: their strengths, developmental areas, what types of jobs they would likely excel at, and most importantly how to motivate and retain them!
